Students simply enter the 6-digit session code provided by their teacher on the CHECKPOINT homepage. They can join quickly and easily to participate in assessments.

Our AI is specifically trained to identify and target common misconceptions in learning. Unlike generic question generators, CHECKPOINT creates assessments that reveal not just what students don't know, but why they're making specific errors.

CHECKPOINT is developed by VIABLE Lab at the University of Florida, led by Dr. Anthony Botelho with co-PIs Dr. Jinnie Shin and Dr. Avery Closser. Our interdisciplinary team includes researchers in learning analytics, educational measurement, and learning sciences.

Absolutely. Student privacy is our priority. We follow strict data protection protocols and only collect the information necessary for educational insights, in compliance with COPPA and FERPA educational privacy standards.

For Students: CHECKPOINT works on any device with a modern web browser - including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Chromebooks. We support Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge browsers.

For Teachers: The teacher dashboard is currently optimized for desktop computers and larger tablets with wide screens for the best experience when managing assessments and viewing analytics.

Our platform provides research-grade analytics including difficulty indices, discrimination values, and misconception mapping. These insights help you understand not just student performance, but the quality and effectiveness of each assessment item.

CHECKPOINT currently supports mathematics assessments across K-12 grade levels. We are actively working on expanding to other subjects and will be adding support for additional content areas soon. Our AI can generate questions aligned to specific curriculum standards and target common misconceptions identified by educational research.
